Miss Mary Poppins, a rather complex character, magical, mysterious and practically perfect in every way…

The story of Mary Poppins was based in 1910. King Edward was on the throne, the women’s Suffragette movement was in full swing, and letter press printing was here. I looked at personal graphic props for Mary, things that would suit her character, and questioned each design decision. I did a lot of research into the early 1900’s, making sure every detail was correct to that time period. To the use of correct paper sizes, typography and paper clips.
